Когда-то в этих диких краях появились на запряженных оленях два брата, через еловые леса они пробирались, через большую траву, овраги и буераки, долго ехали, большой путь проделали. Их звали Айна и Гайна - сильные, рослые, красивые были эти братья. На каждого - по оленю, оба оленя - белые.Приехали братья - а тут ни души. Только густые леса, высокие травы, глубокие реки-озера их встретили. Ослепительно сверкающие дивные горы здесь достигали облаков, а сладкие ароматы цветов витали в воздухе. Посоветовавшись между собой решили братья остановиться здесь на яйляу*. Отпустив оленей, уставшие братья улеглись спать. С восходом солнца вернулись олени, присмотрелись Айна и Гайна к ним внимательно, и ужаснулись - олени вернулись все взмыленные, уставшие и изможденные. Долго братья ломали голову, и на второй день, решив выяснить в чем дело, они снова отпустили своих оленей, но задумали проследить, что же ночью случится. Первым за оленями реши пойти Айна. Долго он шел через лес, и услышал вдалеке испуганные крики оленей. Не раздумывая, помчался Айна к опушке, и видит: вышла из леса старуха, схватила оленя, да вскочила на него верхом. Была эта старуха безобразна: волосатая, грязная, с обвисшими грудями - одну грудь она закинула за плечо, другой себя опоясала. Увидев ее, Айна вскрикнул в испуге.
- А, ты меня подстерегаешь? - воскликнула старуха, и бросилась на Айну. Долго боролись они, но не смог устоять батыр перед натиском старухи, повалила она его наземь, связала, и разрезав его ступню, стала высасывать из ранки кровь.
Забеспокоился Гайна, решил пойти на поиски брата, и предстало перед
ним то же самое зрелище: чудовищная старуха терзала оленя.
Но не испугался Гайна, выбрал удобный момент, кинул веревку, стащил старуху с оленя, схватил крепко за волосы, и начал ее избивать. Ударил он раз, второй, и вдруг старуха превратилась в красивую девушку с длинными волосами. Это была хозяйка той местности, звали ее Тулуа, была она из рода ар. Взмолилась о пощаде девушка:
- Братец, не бей меня, я стану твоей женой!
Задумался Гайна, посоветовался с братом, да взял с Тулуа клятву, что она никогда не будет заниматься дурными делами. Привязал батыр ее волосы к рогам оленя и привел девушку на яйляу. Обосновались они в тех местах, а потомков Гулуа и Гайны и называют тулбуйцами.

- Oh, are you lying in wait for me?- the old woman exclaimed and rushed at Aina.They fought for a long time, but the hero could not resist the onslaught of the old woman; she threw him to the ground, tied him up, and, cutting his foot, began to suck the blood from the wound.

But Gaina was not afraid, he chose an opportune moment, threw a rope, pulled the old woman off the deer, grabbed her tightly by the hair, and began to beat her.He hit once, twice, and suddenly the old woman turned into a beautiful girl with long hair.This was the mistress of that area, her name was Tulua, she was from the Ar family.The girl begged for mercy:
- Brother, don’t hit me, I’ll become your wife!
Gaina thought about it, consulted with his brother, and took an oath from Tulua that she would never engage in bad deeds.The batyr tied her hair to the horns of a deer and brought the girl to Yaylyau.They settled in those places, and the descendants of Gulua and Gaina are called Tulbuis.
