Текст песни
1 Славьте Господа, ибо Он благ, ибо вовек милость Его!2 Так да скажут избавленные Господом, которых избавил Он от руки врага
3 и собрал от стран: от востока и запада, от севера и моря.
4 Они блуждали в пустыне по безлюдному пути и не находили населенного города;
5 терпели голод и жажду, душа их истаивала в них.
6 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он избавил их от бедствий их
7 и повел их прямым путем, чтобы они шли к населенному городу.
8 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих,
9 ибо Он насытил душу жаждущую и душу алчущую исполнил благами.
10 Они сидели во тьме и тени смертной, окованные скорбью и железом,
11 ибо не покорялись словам Божиим и пренебрегли волей Всевышнего.
12 Он смирил сердце их работами; они преткнулись, и не было помогающего.
13 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он спас их от бедствий их;
14 вывел их из тьмы и тени смертной и расторгнул узы их.
15 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих,
16 ибо Он сокрушил врата медные и засовы железные сломал.
17 Безрассудные страдали за беззаконные пути свои и за неправды свои;
18 от всякой пищи отвращалась душа их, и они приближались к вратам смерти.
19 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он спас их от бедствий их;
20 послал слово Свое и исцелил их, и избавил их от могил их.
21 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих!
22 Да приносят Ему жертву хвалы и да возвещают о делах Его с пением!
23 Отправляющиеся на кораблях в море, производящие дела на больших водах
24 видят дела Господа и чудеса Его в пучине:
25 Он речет – и восстает бурный ветер, и высоко поднимает волны его,
26 восходят до небес, нисходят до бездны. Душа их истаивает в бедствии;
27 они кружатся и шатаются, как пьяные, и вся мудрость их исчезает.
28 Но воззвали к Господу в скорби своей, и Он вывел их из бедствия их.
29 Он превращает бурю в тишину, и волны умолкают.
30 И веселятся, что они утихли, и Он приводит их к желаемой пристани.
31 Да славят Господа за милость Его и за чудные дела Его для сынов человеческих!
32 Да превозносят Его в собрании народном и да славят Его в сонме старейшин!
33 Он превращает реки в пустыню и источники вод – в сушу,
34 землю плодородную – в солончак за нечестие живущих на ней.
35 Он превращает пустыню в озеро, и землю иссохшую – в источники вод;
36 и поселяет там алчущих, и они строят город для обитания;
37 засевают поля, насаждают виноградники, которые приносят им обильные плоды.
38 Он благословляет их, и они весьма размножаются, и скота их не уменьшает.
39 Уменьшились они и упали от угнетения, бедствия и скорби –
40 Он изливает бесчестие на князей и оставляет их блуждать в пустыне, где нет путей.
41 Бедного же извлекает из бедствия и умножает род его, как стада овец.
42 Праведники видят это и радуются, а всякое нечестие заграждает уста свои.
43 Кто мудр, тот заметит это и уразумеет милость Господа.

1 Praise the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever!2 So say so that those who were redeemed by the Lord, whom he delivered from the hand of the enemy, say
3 and gathered from the countries, from the east and west, from the north and the sea.
4 They wandered in the wilderness along a deserted path and did not find a populated city;
5 they were hungry and thirsty, their souls melted in them.
6 But they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distress
7 and led them on a straight path so that they would go to the inhabited city.
8 Let them praise the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men,
9 For he has satisfied the hungry soul, and the hungry soul filled with good things.
10 They sat in the darkness and shadow of death, bound by sorrow and iron,
11 for they did not submit to the words of God and despised the will of the Most High.
12 He humbled their hearts with their works; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
13 But they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress;
14 He brought them out of the darkness and shadow of death, and broke their bonds.
15 Let them praise the Lord for his mercy and for his wonderful works for the sons of men,
16 For He broke down the brass gates and broke the iron bars.
17 The foolish have suffered for their wicked ways and for their iniquities;
18 Their souls turned away from all food, and they drew near the gates of death.
19 But they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress;
20 He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.
21 Let them praise the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men!
22 May they offer Him a sacrifice of praise, and may they declare His works with singing!
23 Sailing out to sea, doing business on high waters
24 they see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the depths:
25 He speaks, and a stormy wind rises, and raises its waves high,
26 ascend to heaven, descend to the abyss. Their souls melt away in distress;
27 they whirl and stagger like drunkards, and all their wisdom vanishes.
28 But they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.
29 He turns the storm into silence, and the waves are silent.
30 And they are glad that they have calmed down, and He leads them to the desired landing.
31 May they glorify the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men!
32 May they exalt Him in the assembly of the people, and may they praise Him among the assembly of the elders!
33 He turns rivers into wilderness and springs of waters into dry land,
34 fertile land - into a salt marsh for the wickedness of those living on it.
35 He turns the wilderness into a lake, and the dry land into fountains of waters;
36 and dwells there the hungry, and they build a city to dwell;
37 are sowing the fields, planting vineyards, which bear them abundant fruits.
38 He blesses them, and they multiply greatly, and their livestock does not diminish.
39 They dwindled and fell from oppression, calamity and sorrow -
40 He pours dishonor on princes and leaves them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way.
41 But he brings out the poor from distress and multiplies his generation like flocks of sheep.
42 The righteous see this and rejoice, but every wickedness hinders their lips.
43 He who is wise will notice this and understand the mercy of the Lord.
