Кони всё мимо по снегу летят.
Вдруг всё белеет, туманится взгляд.

И вот уж они ушли далеко.
Виднеется в поле, в дали огонёк.

Это под снегом из хижины свет,

Примчались они, и вмиг всё пропало:

Рядом с дверью притаилась,
Постучала, та открылась.

Снова гроб и что теперь?
Он покрытый пеленой

Страшно! давит тишина

Ужас девушку настиг

Стало видно мёртвый лик
