Над Великой Рекою стоит тишина.Воздух густ и тяжел, непрозрачен и сух.
Завязь темного утра встает ото сна.
А над миром летит неприкаянный дух.
Он заводит тоскливую песню свою.
Серым ужасом влет наполняя сердца.
Облетев Цитадель, он уходит на юг.
И под черным плащом не увидить лица.
Эхо бьется о стены из каменных плит.
А по ветру опять песня Смерти летит.
Это значит, что скоро опять будет бой.
Кровавая битва меж светом и тьмой.
И опять тишина и опять ничего.
Только тучи закрыли собой горизонт.
И кровавые звезды над палой травой.
Через сумрак глядят маяком на восход.
Вы хотели войны, значит будет война,
Но ведь только во тьме и заметен ваш свет.
В наших ножнах найдутся клинки из огня,
Но за все, что здесь будет, держать вам ответ.
