The Swinging Blue Jeans is a British mercibite band formed in Liverpool, England, in 1960 (initially known as Blue Jeans) and remaining in history, mainly due to the hit “Hippy Hippy Shake”, followed by (moderately successful) singles “Good Golly Miss Molly”, “You're No Good” and “Don't Make Me Over” (which marked the last appearance of the quartet on the charts in 1966). Despite limited commercial success, The Swinging Blue Jeans, according to Allmusic, was considered one of the strongest Liverpool groups of the British Invasion of the mid-1960s.
