Одна из самых первых и самых легендарных калифорнийских панк-банд Social Distortion отсчитывают свою историю с 1978 года, когда друзья-школьники гитарист Mike Ness (3.04.62), барабанщик Casey Rover, и братья Agnew по имени Rick (вокал, гитара) и Frank (бас) собрались на первую совместную репетицию. Альбом может претендовать на право зваться "Лучшим среднетемповым панк-альбомом всех времен и народов".
В 1995 году вышел компакт-диск 'Mainliner', куда помимо одноименного мини-альбома был включен прочий ранний материал Social Distortion — всего десять не очень затяжных трэков.
