Украсить Ростов к 9-му мая должны до конца недели. Сотни флагов, панно и баннеров появятся в ближайшие дни на главных улицах и въездах в город. Основными цветами праздничного оформления станут красный, золотой и белый. А над сквером Платова на Садовой-Университетском растянут так называемое звездное небо – сетку из светодиодных нитей. А вот, как будут отмечать День Победы в нашем городе, расскажет Мария Погребняк.В 10 утра - традиционный парад Победы на Театральной площади. По ней пройдут более трёх тысяч человек: кадетские корпуса, внутренние войска, сотрудники МЧС и курсанты юридического института. А еще проедет сотня военных машин, в том числе бронеавтомобили «Тайфун», боевые машины пехоты БМП-3 и противотанковые ракетные комплексы «Хризантема». Практически сразу после парада состоится акция «Бессмертный полк»: многотысячная колонна горожан пронесет фотографии погибших или ушедших из жизни родственников-ветеранов.
В 11 - у центрального входа в парк Горького выставка ретро-автомобилей. Там же покажут форму и оружие военных лет. Кроме того, в парке впервые реконструируют блок-пост: там можно будет сфотографироваться и отведать настоящей солдатской каши. Посмотреть на военную технику вблизи можно будет на площадке перед кинотеатром «Ростов» на Садовой-Университетском. Помимо современных бронетранспортёров, обещают привезти мотоциклы 40-х годов.
Одним из главных событий этого дня победы станет открытие памятника Алексею Бересту – одному из трёх советских солдат, кто водрузил красное знамя над Рейхстагом в 45-м. Пятиметровый монумент будет стоять в сквере 353-й стрелковой дивизии. Автор памятника – ростовский скульптор Анатолий Скнарин - изобразил Береста со знаменем в левой руке, в правой он держит пистолет-пулемёт. По словам Скнарина, чтобы добиться портретного сходства, он консультировался с дочерью героя войны.

Памятник – стоимостью несколько миллионов рублей – изготовили на пожертвования ростовчан. Также ко дню победы перед зданием публичной библиотеки на Пушкинской ют откроют бюсты писателям-фронтовикам - Михаилу Шолохову, Анатолию Калинину и Виталию Закруткину.
В семь вечера на Театралке - праздничный концерт. Завершится праздник в десять традиционным салютом. Шоу обещает быть ярким: на днях на сайте госзакупок появился аукцион на проведение фейерверка, сумма контракта – 700 тысяч рублей. В заявке прописано, какие должны быть пиротехнические эффекты – это, например, «Ярко-синяя астра с пальмой посередине», «Золотая парча с белым мерцанием» и «Красная хризантема».

At 11 - at the main entrance to Gorky Park an exhibition of retro cars. They will also show the uniform and weapons of the war years. In addition, a checkpoint is being reconstructed for the first time in the park: there you can take a picture and taste the real soldier's porridge. You can look at military equipment in the vicinity at the site in front of the Rostov movie theater at Sadovoy-Universitetskoye. In addition to modern armored personnel carriers, they promise to bring motorcycles of the 40s.
One of the main events of this victory day will be the unveiling of a monument to Alexei Berest, one of the three Soviet soldiers who erected a red banner over the Reichstag in the 45th. The five-meter monument will stand in the square of the 353rd Infantry Division. The author of the monument - the Rostov sculptor Anatoly Sknarin - depicted Berest with a banner in his left hand, in his right he holds a submachine gun. According to Skarin, in order to achieve portrait similarity, he consulted with the daughter of a war hero.
