Например, в интервью журналу "Guitar Player" в сентябре 1978 года Блэкмор сказал, что "...That was me, Albert Lee and Jim Sullivan, Ian Paice and Roger Glover were on it and
whoever else was around at the time...", хотя на

"Green Bullfrog" was the idea of Derek Lawrence and was originally conceived as a full-scale project with a corresponding promotion by MCA and presumably good sales.
Recording took place at De Lane Lea Studios in London in 1970. Lawrence acted as a producer, the sound engineer was the well-known specialist in his field, Martin Birch. However, the commercial plans of Lawrence
was not destined to come true due to objective circumstances. Be that as it may, the album was released in March 1971 on Decca and only in March 1972 on MCA in Europe. Unresolved until the end
due to contractual circumstances, the musicians on the album are not named under their real names, which had the most detrimental effect on sales.
musicians has long been the subject of controversy, as several statements have been made that have long confused historians. For example, in an interview with Guitar Player magazine in September 1978, Blackmore said that "... That was me, Albert Lee and Jim Sullivan, Ian Paice and Roger Glover were on it and
whoever else was around at the time ... "
Roger was not actually there. Jeff Beck made a similar announcement of his participation, which was also not confirmed. Several vinyl reissues in the 80s mentioned John Lord's involvement in the recording, which is also not true. There are several editions of "Green Bullfrog" on CD,
differing both in the order of the tracks and in the presence or absence of bonuses.
