С древнейших времен в устье реки Зай обитал огромный Змей. Этот Змей, милостью Тенгри был назиданием всем живым существам. Тело – змеи, конечности – барса, крылья – сокола, и имя ему Барадж. Славный и благородный хозяин Зая реки, эмир ящеров, могучий клинок Шахмара, царя змей.Однажды, у Берегов реки Зай появилось племя Буляр. Они пасли свой скот и основали город недалеко от усть Зая. Бараджу не понравилоась своеволие людей. И вдруг ясным днем, солнце скрыла тень, то Барадж расправил крылья.
Пламенем дыхнет деревню сожгет, крыльями хлопнет поля пустыми оставляет. А коли на землю опустится тысячами людей убивает. Подивился народ Буляр силе дракона, и сменил свое имя на народ Бараджа. Покинув земли Змея, они на новом месте основали город Буляр. А старое место в памяти народа осталось под названием Град-Гора.
